China Live-Streaming CRACKDOWN: 31 Behaviors Banned
Beijing has introduced new regulations covering live streams that restrict content that weakens the Communist Party, the wider socialist system and national reforms, or from doctoring photos of leaders.
Guidelines published by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Wednesday prohibit influencers from discussing matters such as law, politics or medicine without “qualifications”, or displaying extravagant products or lifestyles.
China’s latest attempt to regulate the e-commerce industry also demands influencers declare full and honest tax obligations, and for platforms to block those who show “no ethics”.
