Trump’s Allies Rushed to Get Pardoned following ‘Stop the Steal’
At least five GOP congressmen, who supported Donald Trump’s calls to overturn the 2020 presidential election, sought White House pardons, witnesses told the January 6 committee Thursday.
According to the testimonies, Trump never acted upon the pardon requests – after several Justice Department officials threatened to quit.
Video testimony showed that Republican Representatives Andy Biggs, Mo Brooks, Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert and Scott Perry all sought pardons.
