BREAKING: Teaching Lab releases new statement following Project Veritas investigation
“The views expressed by the employee in these recordings are not the views of Teaching Lab, and are inaccurate and regrettable. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending further review.”
“Bostic was featured in a second video released by Project Veritas on Wednesday. Bostic claimed his employer “is like a scam lab,” alleging that Teaching Lab CEO Sarah Johnson took grant money from major organizations to create the educational materials and then sold those materials for profit, PV reported. The organizations include Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife MacKenzie Scott’s foundation, Yield Giving.” https://dailycaller.com/2023/01/18/crt-georgia-kemp-teaching-lab-project-veritas/
GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION RESPONDS:
State School Superintendent Richard Woods is firmly opposed to the inclusion of Critical Race Theory and other divisive concepts in Georgia’s public schools. Furthermore, attempts to promote or push these ideologies in Georgia schools are illegal under the Protect Students First Act signed into law in 2022.
We are in communication with both school districts explicitly mentioned to verify whether the information in the video is accurate, and are working to ensure these materials have not been adopted in other districts. We will direct any district using these materials to discontinue their use.
In addition to these efforts, parents should be aware that HB 1084, the Protect Students First Act, establishes a complaint resolution process that parents, students, or educators/personnel can follow to report a violation. We encourage parents to follow this process to report violations of the Protect Students First Act.
